Later on in the broadcast, during the Carson-led POPStart segment, the anchors discussed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, who have been making quite a few headlines as of late.

Carson brought up some of the comments Will had made about the couple’s relationship and marriage.

“Will and Jada, come on down!” Al Roker joked, inviting the pair to come chat on the Today Show.

As the hosts discussed the specifics of Will and Jada’s arrangement, Carson made a quip.

“I’m sleep divorced, I sleep downstairs, I’ve never been happier!” he declared.

The hosts erupted in laughter at his admission.

“Different strokes for different folks,” Carson continued.

“Maybe we should have stopped this 30 seconds earlier,” Al joked, turning to look at his co-hosts.

CARSON’S CHAOS

Recently, Carson had to ask if everyone was OK on the Today set.

A major crash happened on set that had the host rushing over to help.

On Tuesday’s show, Carson, along with Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Hoda Kotb reported from outside the studio.

They introduced Cirque Du Soleil, who is currently on their Echo tour around the United States.

There were five performers on stage.

Two of them did flips, two of them tried to balance boxes high in the air without having them fall, and the other one juggled and did various tricks.

Although there were some hiccups, like when one of the performers lost their balance a bit after spinning, most of it went off without a hitch.

The two performers in the back were working flawlessly to stack the boxes on top of each other while holding them.

‘ARE YOU OK?’

They got to the last two boxes and the pile swayed high, but kept itself upright for at least 10 seconds.

The performer balanced the boxes on their head before it all came tumbling down.

The two dancers in the front stood, but the other three were on the ground and ducked as the boxes fell on top of them.

They quickly got up though, and appeared to be alright.

“Is everybody OK?” Carson asked as the hosts rushed over to the Cirque performers.

“Oh my Gosh!” Savannah said. “That was incredible.”

As the other hosts expressed their awe for the performance, Carson continued to ask if they were alright.

“Are you OK? You good?” he asked the one who did flips.

When the man nodded, Carson said: “Alright. Good.”

DALY’S DILEMMA

Carson revealed that he had a medical emergency once on set.

The father of four recently hosted the gala for Project Healthy Minds.

He gave a speech about his first panic attack during a Total Request Live episode.

Project Healthy Minds is a nonprofit organization that focuses on removing the stigma that surrounds seeking treatment for mental health.

Carson shared that he thought he was going to die one September day.

He was doing a broadcast for TRL and he was in his dressing room with the crowd outside.

“Then something very unusual happened to me,” Carson shared.

“Out of nowhere, in my dressing room, I felt what I can describe as a snap in my brain. My heart started to race, and fear went through my body like when I was a kid and it wouldn’t let go.”

The host compared the feeling to being like someone had cracked open a cold compress for an injury.

“I could see my producer talking to me through the doorway, saying something about Hanson probably, and I couldn’t hear him, I was literally leaving reality.

“I thought, ‘my God, I’m having a stroke in front of Hanson,'” he recalled.

When the moment passed, Carson left his dressing room and continued to host the show.

However, the whole time, he was terrified that it might happen again.

Carson spoke to his doctor, who ran some tests, and he was told he was 100% physically healthy, but his real problem was that he had a panic attack.
