Tomi Lahren of Fox News was Fired over Controversial Comments!
Tomi Lahren isn’t really the free-speech martyr she purports to be.
The conservative gadfly nearly cried on ABC’s “Nightline” on Wednesday as she claimed she’d been f1red by Glenn Beck’s multiplatform channel TheBlaze and explained why she’s su1ng for wr0ngful t3rminati0n.
But TheBlaze says Lahren hasn’t been f1red, is still being paid and still has access to the Facebook account she complains she can’t use.
Seems that what Lahren really wants is to be let out of her contract, rather than be sidelined for months with nothing to do.
“It’s official: We are now as confused as Tomi seems to be,” a spokesman for TheBlaze told me. “It’s not every day that a current employee sues for being f1red, but then gives an interview asking to be f1red.”
Lahren, 24, claims she was taken off the air, after declaring on ABC’s “The View” in mid-March, “I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think that the government should decide what women do with their bodies . . . Stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.”
On “Nightline,” she complained, “My job is my life. This is my life. Without that, I feel lost . . . When your outlet is taken away from you and you don’t understand why and you’re so disappointed and you’re so blindsided, it hurts.”
Lahren, who has more than 4.2 million Facebook followers, also claims TheBlaze retains control of her Facebook page. Her last post was on March 19, a few days after she appeared on “The View.”
But TheBlaze spokesman said, “For the record, Tomi has had, and continues to have, access to the Facebook account in question. None of this makes sense.
“TheBlaze continues to comply with its agreement with her.”
