“Oh heyyyy Studio 8H,” Savannah captioned the image.

She stood tall in a long black dress with button down design in the front with one hand on her hip.

Her expression seemed proud and excited, and she was positively beaming.

She added another caption to her photo, along with a “Live from Studio 8H” animated sticker.

“closest I will ever come to doing the SNL monologue,” she wrote.

Her fans disagreed, however, as they took to the post with words of encouragement and support.

“Never say never,” one wrote.

“I don’t know about that Savannah! You would nail it!” another commented.

“Get Savannah on the Weekend Update!” a third wrote, tagging comedian Colin Jost.

Another begged the SNL Instagram account, “Prove her wrong! #SavvyG”

“Wouldn’t that be something though?” another fan asked.

“They should take @nbcsnl to the next level by doing that.”

FISHY SITUATION

Recently, Savannah admitted that there was “widespread disgust” at the Today Show studio.

On Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Craig Melvin covered a story on goldfish appearing in lakes.

However, they aren’t typical goldfish.

They are goldfish that are bigger than a man’s hand.

“Some are more than a foot long and in extreme cases, weigh dozens of pounds,” Savannah, 51, said.

She went on to say that they are “extremely invasive and a threat to others species.”

NBC News correspondent Maggie Vespa said that this happened due to human error of fish owners flushing them down the toilet when they fish are not really dead.

She said scientists recommend not throwing them back into the water, if caught, and instead, disposing of them.

‘I’LL BE SICK’

At the end of the segment, the screen went back to the hosts in the studio.

Savannah said that Hoda, 59, wondered how they tasted.

“I did wonder because, they’re carp, right?” Hoda asked Maggie.

“We couldn’t find someone who wanted to taste them, shockingly, but if we do we’ll let you know,” Maggie said.

Craig, 44, cringed and the others laughed.

Savannah said: “Listen, Maggie, if Hoda invites you over for ‘Tilapia’ over at her house this Christmas, say no.”

Maggie shook her head and said: “Mmm mmm. I’ll be sick.”

At the very end, Craig said that he didn’t think that many people would flush fish who were still alive and then cringed again saying: “blech.”

‘TRYING NOT TO LOSE IT’

After the morning show finished on Tuesday, Savannah shared stills to her Instagram Story.

She shared her, Hoda, and Craig’s reactions to the segment.

In the first one, Craig made a cringing face and Savannah hid her eyes as they both looked down.

“Trying to not totally lose it watching story about giant overgrown goldfish,” Savannah captioned the photo.

In the second photo, she highlighted Craig’s face, in which he looked disgusted.

The third picture had Hoda hiding her face from the screen.

Savannah even showed a cameraman who had the same facial expression as Craig.

She captioned that post: “Widespread disgust in the studio.”
