You can’t beef with Trae Young. Apart from just sinking a lofty three-pointer, what he knows the best is to shut the opponent crowd down. In a game that will be talked about for years to come, Young put the Utah Jazz fans through a wild, emotional rollercoaster. And ultimately breaking their hearts with a stunning half-court game-winner.
The Atlanta Hawks had been in control for most of the match, but as the clock wound down, the Jazz managed to tie things up with a clutch play from Collin Sexton. The Delta Center erupted with excitement, and for a brief moment, all seemed right in Utah. But Trae Young, ever the showman, had other ideas. With just seconds left on the clock, he launched a breathtaking shot from beyond half-court and stunned the crowd.
What started as jubilant cheers quickly morphed into stunned silence as fans processed what had just happened. The videographer captured the heartbreaking moment perfectly, panning through the crowd to reveal expressions of disbelief and despair. Fans who were ready to celebrate a potential overtime were instead left in awe, grappling with the sudden shift in their fortunes.
As the game wrapped up, even the commentators couldn’t stop echoing the heartache felt by Jazz fans everywhere. To add to that, Young soaked in the moment and dropped his signature ‘Ice Cold’ celebration. The Hawks shot two birds with one stone, lifting them above .500 and pushing the Jazz to more struggling 9-26 record in a tough Western Conference.

Imagine a shot so cold even the best in business bows down to you. That is exactly what happened to Trae Young. The Golden Warriors superstar Steph Curry couldn’t hide his honest reaction after what he witnessed during the Hawks-Jazz game. He made sure to put in respect for the young sharpshooter’s talent.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Curry conveyed his admiration by sharing the moment with a “cold face” emoji. The shot deserves all the hype also because it was a buzzer-beater that came at a moment when both the teams were tied at 121-121 with just a few seconds left for the final whistle.
Although, Young’s performance was nothing short of spectacular, as he concluded the match with 24 points and a remarkable 20 assists. It marked a significant achievement with three 20-20 games already in the current season, something not seen since John Stockton’s days.
