One Piece fans have often wondered about how is stronger between Luffy and Zoro and Eiichiro Oda might have already given the answer to it.
SUMMARY
Luffy and Zoro have been together since the beginning of One Piece.
Fans have often wondered who is the stronger one between the two.
Eiichiro Oda may have already hinted at Luffy being stronger than Zoro.
The two main characters of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro, have been together since the dawn of the series, and their bond is totally unbreakable. The two have seen struggles and success together and are on their way to pursuing their dreams in the perilous pirate world of One Piece, which, as fans have seen, is not easy at all.

While Zoro dreams of being the strongest swordsman in the world, Luffy wants to be the King of the Pirates. Thus, in order to follow that, the two have been working hard and gaining strength to take down every opponent in their own way. From Warlords to Emperors, they have fought everyone who stood in their way and are now slowly reaching their goals.
However, fans have always wondered about who is stronger between the two One Piece characters. Both of them are insanely powerful, but according to hints given by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, it looks like Luffy might stand above Zoro by quite a few points.
The strongest duo in One Piece
Since the beginning of One Piece, Luffy and Zoro have been on each other’s side, defending and motivating one another to achieve their goals. They have been through thick and thin and now are considered one of the, if not the, strongest duos in One Piece. Their journey started with Luffy saving Zoro from execution, and since then they have become the ultimate force of strength.
There have been many instances that prove that Luffy and Zoro are the perfect fit for each other. Both of them are insanely strong, and their goofiness together makes them look like a perfect duo. Both of them have individual fan followings that rival many prominent anime series, and it is only growing as they move through the finale saga of One Piece.

Eiichiro Oda has tested their friendship multiple times within the One Piece narrative, and they have come out on the stronger end every time. While they have had some feuds, none of them have been serious enough to damage their unbreakable bond. And while it has not been officially declared, Zoro is Luffy’s first mate and will be by his side till the end of One Piece.
The tougher character between Luffy and Zoro
Fans of One Piece have often asked who the stronger character is between Luffy and Zoro, given their unshakable friendship. This is because the commander and first mates of practically every powerful pirate crew in One Piece are often equivalent in terms of toughness and strength. Oda himself has provided the answer to this.

In the first half of One Piece (the majority of the pre-time skip), Zoro struggled against most of his opponents. He was injured quite a lot and had to cross his limit almost every time.
However, in Luffy’s case, things were quite smooth until he reached Arlong Park, and from there on he struggled a little bit but still came out strong against his opponents.
Also, Oda gave the biggest hint about Luffy being stronger than Zoro during the Thriller Bark arc. It was clearly mentioned that Luffy was much stronger than the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates, and the amount of pain he took in his fights was much more than any other member of the crew in One Piece, thus proving that he is a lot tougher than Zoro.
