A former contestant from series one of The Traitors had plenty to say about the first person to be ‘mu4dered’ on the latest series – and didn’t hold back as he fumed: ‘Didn’t you learn anything?

One of The Traitors’ original contestants has sparked a ‘feud’ with one of his season 3 counterparts, after she was abruptly k!lled on the show during Thursday’s nail biting episode.
Former contestant Ivan Brett, who featured in the first series of the BBC smash hit, didn’t last long during his time on the show, surviving just five episodes before he was ‘banished’. Yet despite his early exit, this hasn’t stopped him from ranting about the ‘mu4der’ of Yin after she made her debut on the latest series.
During Ivan’s tenure on the show, he was eliminated in episode five after a dramatic round table that saw magician Tom Elderfield convince the contestants that Ivan was a Traitor, despite him being a faithful. And a similar fate appears to have befallen Yin, after she was the first contestant to be eliminated from the 2025 series after being ‘mu4dered’ by the Traitors.
Taking to social media to call out the communications professional for not having hidden her intentions more clearly, Ivan fumed: “Oh Yin. Did you learn nothing from me? If you’ve a shred of qualification to do well in this game, HIDE IT. Feeling gutted for her.”

Ivan Brett was quick to share his thoughts about Yin’s departure
A fan responded to the post, which was shared on social media, replying: “Feel bad for her. Feel like they should’ve gone for Nathan as he clocked Linda too fast and started getting people talking about her.”
A second fan also agreed adding: “Poor Yin – but tbh she was prime scapegoat material.”
The third series of The Traitors got underway on January 1, with a new batch of contestants hoping to outsmart their competitors in order to secure an impressive cash prize. Yet in true Traitor’s fashion things weren’t quite smooth sailing from the get go, with three contestants eliminated before they had even made it to the castle, reports the Sun.
However, when the contestants did arrive, Claudia Winkleman soon handpicked three Traitors who would be tasked with eliminating their competitors in secret, while also hiding their true identities. For the task, Claudia selected financial investigator Armani, 27, retired opera singer Linda, 70 and call centre manager Minah, 29 – and it was a joint decision by all three Traitors to eliminate Yin, who seemed to be asking far too many questions for comfort.

Yin was the first contestant to be mu4dered in episode one of the third series
After her exit, Yin admitted she did have a game plan and said : “Absolutely I did. I tried to meet as many people as I could within reason. I wanted to gather information about them, observe what they were saying about themselves, what they were not saying.
“I also observed who was observing me, there were a couple of players who seemed to have more eye contact with me than others. Off the bat some approached me, others didn’t. I hoovered all that information in which was exactly my plan; to begin to measure things empirically and scientifically so that all worked out.”
“I also went to every room in the castle and tried to observe private speaking areas. So my environment and the people were analysed, there were a couple of players who stood out immediately – one of those was Dan, just because we had some exposure together on the train and I clocked in the first few hours that he could be an amazing ally to have for the entire rest of the game.”
Sadly however, the game plan wasn’t enough to save her from the Traitor’s axe and Yin became yet another faithful who had fallen victim to their deception.
