Emmerdale and Strictly Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher confessed: “It broke my heart,” during an emotional moment with his wife Liz and their children on their new programme.
The ITV show, Fletcher’s Family Farm, follows the actor’s family as they navigate owning their own farm, much like Jeremy Clarkson on Clarkson’s Farm and Our Yorkshire Farm which follows the Owen family.
The programme offers viewers a glimpse into the Fletchers’ 120-acre farm in the scenic village of Wincle, near Macclesfield in Cheshire, and also delves into the personal lives of Kelvin, Liz and their four children – Marnie, Milo and twins Maximus and Mateusz.
In the latest episode, emotions ran high when Kelvin and Liz were overcome with joy after winning their first cattle award at a popular Cheshire show. Despite being novices, they attended the event with two of their children, Marnie and Milo, who assisted in leading the cattle to the judges.
Cheshire Live reports Marnie was initially nervous about leading a calf named Cherry into the judging arena, the family went on to win first place, setting the tone for a successful day. Off camera, a visibly moved Kelvin expressed his pride, saying: “I can’t explain the emotions I’m feeling.”

Kelvin opened up about a tender family moment, saying: “I was really nervous when I first went out and I was more nervous for Marnie and Marine said to me that she was ‘scared’ and it just broke my heart.
“Come on push through it, embrace the fear and she did.” His emotional moment was shared by his wife Liz, who was also visibly moved.

Overcome with a mix of laughter and tears, Liz confessed: “I’ve already got tears in my eyes which I knew would happen,” and laughingly yet tearfully, she added: “I just can’t because he makes me so emotional because he has so much to do and it’s scary, it’s nerve-wracking and to just stand there and there are all these other people that have been doing it for years.”
Through her tears, she expressed immense pride: “I’m just so proud, so proud of Kelvin and so proud of Marnie.” The journey hasnt always been easy for the family of six.

Before relocating to rural bliss in 2010, Kelvin was temporarily single after he received a flood of unsolicited attention and photos from fans, causing a brief separation
Happily, they reconciled and embarked on their shared aspiration to run a farm. Audiences can now watch their rural dreams on screen.
