Naomi is shutting down any rumors that she was behind Jade Cargill’s mysterious attack. The SmackDown star made it clear during an appearance on HUGE POP! with Donnie DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas that she had nothing to do with the brutal assault that took Cargill out of WWE programming in late 2024.
“Why do they do that to me? Do you think I’m that horrible? Do you think I’m that conniving and that evil that I would try to kill her? Whoever did it, that was attempted murder. That was crazy. That was insane.”
The speculation started after SmackDown GM Nick Aldis showed footage of Cargill being loaded into an ambulance, with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez spotted near the scene. This led to tensions rising between Naomi, Bianca Belair, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
When co-host Jimmy Korderas jokingly referenced how Rikishi once ran over Stone Cold Steve Austin, Naomi laughed it off but made it clear she had nothing to do with this situation.
“I may get the Stink Face from my daddy, but I did not get trying to kill Jade (Cargill) from him. No! No! That is my sister, that is my girl, and I’ll be glad when we get to the bottom of this because I’m being framed.”
Naomi praised Cargill’s rapid rise in WWE, saying jealousy likely played a role in the attack.
“She’s phenomenal. She’s one of one. The sky is the limit. There are no limits for her, and I think that’s why whoever did what they did, did it—because they see where she’s going. She’s an undeniable star and is gonna do history-making things in this division. Whoever it was just couldn’t handle that or had some jealousy or some hateration going on, but we gonna get to the bottom of it, you know? And we’re gonna get sister back.”
As for whether this situation could push Naomi into a heel turn, she’s open to it—but only if it’s done right.
“I don’t ever want to become stagnant or complacent… I do feel like there is a time for the GLOW and the character of Naomi to change or evolve, and I’m always up for that challenge. But also, I don’t wanna force anything. If I was to get away from that, we gotta go all the way. I gotta be nasty, I gotta get dirty, I got to be something y’all ain’t never seen before. Everything got to change, and I’m up for it.”
