Monday’s episode of Coronation Street saw a tipsy Daisy Midgeley drown her sorrows after feeling betrayed by her stepmum, Jenny Connor.
Jenny had discovered that Daisy’s dad had invested shares in Daisy’s name years ago, expecting a £60k payout – but she kept it a secret from Daisy.
Meanwhile, Carla broke the news that she needs to pay Lisa back and has decided to sell the pub.
Jenny eventually came clean and told Daisy that she wants to buy back the pub – but in her own name – leaving Daisy devastated.
In a drunken outburst, she caused chaos in the pub, unsteadily attempting to climb onto the bar with a full glass of wine in hand.
The feisty barmaid was stopped by Carla, who quickly dropped her scarf to grab Daisy’s arm and prevent a serious fall.
Carla said: “Daisy do yourself a favour… and stop drinking, alright?”
Daisy replied: “Well that won’t help will it? You’ll still be a cow when I’m sober.”
Daisy’s mum Christina was forced to intervene, pulling her daughter away before things got worse.
Meanwhile, viewers spotted an editing blunder as Carla’s scarf mysteriously moved from the top of the bar to her hand between shots.
Coronation Street fans convinced show newcomer is ‘improvising’ as they ‘talk over other character’s lines’ – did you spot it?
Fans couldn’t resist pointing out the continuity error on social media, with one user writing: “There’s been so many continuity mistakes lately!”
Another joked: “What you in about? Carla is magic she summoned the scarf into her hand!”
A third added: “It’s a magic scarf.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
