EastEnders fans are set to say goodbye to two more characters after the aftermath of the devastating explosion in the Queen Vic which saw the d3ath of Martin Fowler.
Now, spoilers have confirmed that the BBC soap will be losing two more characters very soon. Louisa Lytton re-joined the soap as Ruby Allen in November 2024 for an extended period. However, her time on the Square is soon to be over.
Next week, emotional scenes will air during Martin’s funeral. Ruby remains resentful towards love rival Stacey after the funeral and things bubble over. A confrontation then takes place and there’s a revelation that could destroy any hope of peace between them.
Residents are then made aware that Martin’s stall has been set on fire – and not long after, Ruby decides enough is enough. She then announces she and her son Roman will be leaving Walford for good. Things move quickly as Stacey goes to find Ruby to have a talk, before noticing she’s already left.

Speaking on her exit to The Sun, Louisa said: “I left EastEnders a couple of weeks ago. I was only back for six months, to tie in with the 40th and Martin’s exit. It’s always good to come and go and I never see it as a big thing when I leave because I can be back again!” She added that things had been ‘left open’ for a future storyline.
Louisa first joined the soap in 2005 as the daughter of gangster Johnny Allen. She then reprised her role once again in 2018, leaving in 2021 – after being arrested for having drugs in the house.
She then gave birth off screen and returned to the Square with Martin’s secret son, Roman. Now, both Ruby and Roman’s time on the Square has come to an end.

After Martin’s untimely d3ath, the cast and crew took to social media to pay tribute to actor James Bye, who had played the legendary character for 11 years.
Louisa posted behind-the-scenes photos from the episode on her Instagram Story following its broadcast, including one of herself stood beside James. In the picture, the two actors could be seen hugging whilst inside the Queen Vic, which had been destroyed.
Alongside a broken heart emoji, Louisa penned: “No words really,” as she tagged James in the emotional post.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
