ITV viewers at home have criticised Lorraine Kelly’s stand-in presenter for one particular habit. Ranvir Singh, who has been filling in for Lorraine all week, was slammed online by audiences who took to social media to vent their frustrations after Thursday’s episode. During the morning talk show, several topics were covered, including an interview with Strictly Come Dancing winner Joe McFadden. For soap fans, there was also a soap opera news bulletin, as well as a talk from Dr Hilary Jones about the latest health stories. However, fans have argued that Ranvir kept interrupting the guests and said they struggled to follow what was happening.

One person said online: “Ranvir, with all due respect, please stop interrupting. You don’t need to talk all the time. Has someone injected her with Sunny Delight today? She seems particularly talkative today, unbearable.”

Another also echoed: “Is Ranvir just going to talk over everyone today? #Lorraine.” A third remarked: “She’s particularly insufferable today.”

However, not everyone agreed and there are plenty of viewers watching at home who love watching Ranvir as host: “She only person I think is good at Lorraine (even over Lorraine herself ofc!) is Ranvir #Lorraine.” Another also previously wrote: “This programme is much more watchable with Ranvir presenting it.”

Express Online has contacted ITV for comment.

Earlier this year, ITV announced changes to the scheduling and production of its award-winning Daytime shows.

In the new schedule, which will commence in January 2026, Lorraine will run from 9.30am to 10am on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year. This aligns with the lead daytime presenters, who host their shows around a seasonal pattern rather than throughout the year.

During the weeks Lorraine is not on air, Good Morning Britain will run from 6am to 10am This Morning will remain in its 10am-12.30pm slot on weekdays throughout the year, while Loose Women will be in the 12.30-1.30pm slot, again on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year — the schedule it occupied for over a decade until 2016.

Lorraine currently airs daily on ITV at 9am.
