Ex-MasterChef presenter John Torode has headed to Qatar and is staying at a wellness resort away from his wife

Former MasterChef host John Torode has shared an emotional statement about his wife Lisa Faulkner as he jetted off to Qatar for a stay at a wellness resort. John is staying at the five-star Zulal Wellness Resort in Al Ruwais – but has left his wife behind in the UK while he basks in the sunshine.
Lisa sent her husband a sweet card as he left the country, which simply read “I [heart] us”. In response, an overwhelmed John wrote on Instagram: “A little note to remind me whilst I am away [heart emoji]. Love you @lisafaulknercooks.”
Earlier this year, John and Lisa jetted out to Doha together for a series of cooking workshops, including pizza making at the Doha Beach Club.
They also welcomed guests for a special evening at Sora Fine Dining Restaurant back in April.
John has not yet confirmed what his November stay is for, but he has made it clear that Lisa will not be accompanying him this time.
It comes after the pair shared a joint statement on social media to herald the return of their cooking show.

The pair wrote: “Our Christmas Kitchen is back! This Saturday 29th November 11.40 @itv. So many of you have asked when we are back and here we are! See you on Saturday and hope you like the show as much as we did making it!!”
Fans rushed to the comments section in response, with Strictly’s Vito Coppola writing: “Love you two!”
Another fan echoed: “Great to see a new Christmas cooking show! Far too many reruns on every year.”
