CORONATION Street actor Ryan Thomas risked a run-in with his ex Tina O’Brien as they both attended the leaving party of their soap co-star Colson Smith.

The former couple, who share daughter Scarlett together, are back working together for the first time in nine years after Ryan returned to filming the ITV soap briefly as part of his on-screen mum Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver, impending exit storyline.

Ryan and Tina, who have famously had a rocky relationship since their split in 2009, both seemed in high spirits as they were pictured arriving separately at a bar for Colson’s leaving party.

Tina, who plays Sarah Platt on the show, looked sensational as she put on a leggy display in a red mini-dress.

The gorgeous outfit showed off her slender figure and made sure that her enviable pins were the centre of attention.

She added some height to her frame in part of black high heels and kept up the glam look with lashings of make-up.

Meanwhile, Ryan was spotted arriving with another former Corrie star Brooke Vincent.

Ryan kept things casual as he pulled a cheesy grin to the cameras wearing a light-coloured pair of chino trousers with a plain white top and a denim jacket over the top.

The Sun were the first to reveal that Ryan would be returning ahead of Sue Cleaver and Katy Cavanagh’s (Julie Carp) exits.

Ryan and Tina were not pictured together at the party but are likely to have crossed paths.

Things have been very fractious between the former lovers since their split in 2009.

Things came to a head in 2022 when Tina O’Brien was accused of smashing ex-Ryan’s car with a baseball bat after a furious late-night row.

Sources told The Sun that tempers flared at 1am after Tina had been partying with pals.

A wing mirror of Ryan’s Range Rover was smashed off and the paintwork scratched during the bust-up.

He has accused Tina of causing the damage.

One source said: “Tina, who was at a pal’s house party, came out into the street to meet him as he drove up.

“Soon after that his car was damaged with the baseball bat.

“It was quite a disturbing incident and Ryan drove away as soon as he could.

“They’ve not spoken since and Ryan is furious.”

A year later, The Sun told how the pair had a furious argument down the phone to one another.

A source told us: “Tina had a blazing row with Ryan over the phone about their daughter – which ended with her hanging up.

“They rarely speak these days because they do tend to clash.”

She then shared a quote about ‘tyrannical narcissistic fathers’ just hours after the alleged row.
