Olly Murs news – star cancels Dubai gig

The 4o-year-old performer was due to perform at Bla Bla Dubai tonight. Unfortunately, he took to Instagram to let fans down just hours prior.

He penned on his page: “To everyone here in Dubai. Unfortunately, due to doctor’s orders I am having to cancel tonight’s show at Bla Bla because of a throat infection.

“I’m so gutted. I look forward to coming back ASAP and will share new date information as soon as I can! Olly x.”

This comes as a major setback for Olly, who has another big project coming up, which requires his voice to be on top form.

This week it was announced that Olly has a new radio show lined-up with co-host Mark Wright, who has also endured a difficult week.

The singer has had a busy past few months. He became a dad for the first time in April last year when he and wife Amelia welcomed their little girl, Madi.

At the time, Olly was on the road, supporting Take That on their This Life tour.

Olly Murs tour

Although the Heart Skips A Beat performer is having a rough time at the moment, his upcoming tour is still expected to go ahead as planned.

The tour is expected to kickoff in Plymouth on April 25 before wrapping up at London’s O2 Arena on May 16.

Olly told The Sun: “The tour will mark the 15th anniversary of me being signed and releasing Please Don’t Let Me Go.

“It feels so poignant for me to come out and do something to sort of celebrate that. To go from being on The X Factor to having sold-out arena shows and having jobs in TV, it’s been a crazy journey. I’ve worked with Demi Lovato and Robbie Williams, Rizzle Kicks and Travie McCoy.

“I wrote songs with Paul Weller. All these memories. I want to celebrate and take my fans back on that journey with me. I’m hoping that if their schedules line up, some of the people I have worked with or influenced me will be able to come out on stage with me too.”

Elsewhere, co-host Mark Wright hasn’t had the best week. He and his heavily pregnant wife Michelle Keegan suffered a break-in at their jaw-dropping Essex mansion.
