TV star Vogue Williams has opened up about her ill-fated marriage to Westlife’s Brian McFadden, admitting she had doubts on their wedding day in 2012. The couple, who met in a Dublin nightclub and got engaged in early 2012, celebrated their nuptials in Florence, Italy, but the marriage unravelled within three years, leading to their divorce in 2017.
In her tell-all autobiography ‘Big Mouth’, Vogue confesses that Brian wasn’t “marriage material” despite being “good fun to be around” most of the time. She writes: “The morning of the wedding I felt very stressed and so anxious because deep down I knew I had made a mistake. After the wedding I tried to make things work.”
Vogue reflects on the brighter moments of their relationship, saying: “The relationship wasn’t all terrible, we did have some great times too, and for the most part he was good fun to be around. But he was not husband material.”
She candidly reveals: “It was me who called it in the end. I couldn’t keep trying, it felt pointless… I’m not here to throw anyone under the bus but there are things that went on in our relationship that will never be forgiven.”

She divulged her past concerns, saying: “I remember being divorced at 31 and thinking, I’ve ruined my life. I am never going to have kids, I am never going to do what I always wanted to do.”
Sharing her positivity about growing older, she added: “Then you see how your life actually starts to unfold – that’s why it feels exciting to move into your forties,”.

Vogue has since found love with ex-Made in Chelsea heartthrob Spencer Matthews. They surprised everyone with a low-key Scottish ceremony just months after getting engaged, with Vogue admitting it was “the best day of her life.”
Spencer echoed the sentiment to Hello! Magazine: “It has gone down by many as the best wedding they’ve ever been to. It was a family affair in the middle of nowhere and it felt very secluded. We were surrounded by the people we love.”
At their intimate nuptials on Spencer’s family estate in Glen Affric, Inverness-shire, Vogue was expectantly awaiting the arrival of their son, Theodore, who was born in September 2018. The couple has since welcomed two more children, Gigi, 4, and Otto, 2.
