THE Kardashians have been called out for their “hypocritical” behavior and “wasteful” water use at their Los Angeles mansions as fires destroy the city.

The wind-fueled LA flames haven’t spared the homes of the rich and famous with Hollywood A-listers tragically seeing their houses turned to smouldering rubble.

And the Kardashian clan have been trying to show their support for the community but faced a torrent of criticism on social media.

It comes as Khloe criticized LA Mayor Karen Bass’ handling of the fire crisis, writing: “Mayor Bass you are a joke.”

Khloe’s comment came after the L.A. Fire Chief went on FOX 11 LA to claim the mayor hadn’t supported their department by ordering budget cuts, and compromised the department’s abilities to fight the massive blazes as a result.

But Khloe has now been accused of being a “water hog” by angry fans, as one person wrote on X: “Instead of Khloe Kardashian talking bulls*** about Mayor Bass, people should be talking about how she and her sister used an excess of over 300,000 gallons of water in just one month during a drought.”

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe all used water excessively at their Los Angeles properties in 2022, The LA Times reported.

Another said: “Wonder where all of our water went? Kardashian Greed! No wonder our land is burning.”

According to the LA Times, Khloe exceeded the city’s guidelines, and allegedly used 101,000 gallons above the legal limit during one month in 2022.

Kim was also accused of wasting water at her property at the time.

Kim’s Hidden Hills home and its adjacent lot exceeded their June 2022 budget by around 232,000 gallons – and she was fined as a result.

Other celebrities including Sylvester Stallone and comedian Kevin Hart were also fined.

It has been noted that Kim has since installed water-saving measures.

One neighbor of Kim said: “Everyone was told to cut back on water precisely for this situation, to preserve it to fight fires.

“They carried on watering because they could afford the fines.”

According to the report, Kourtney’s 1.86-acre property in nearby Calabasas exceeded its budget that same month by about 101,000 gallons.

LA IN CRISIS

The controversy comes as the devastating fires continue to rip through Los Angeles, displacing thousands and resulting in unseen damage to the area.

Some 153,000 LA residents are now under mandatory evacuation orders as wind gusts as high as 80mph are set to hit in the next few days – making it even more difficult to contain the blazes.

The wildfires are thought to have killed at least 16 people so far.

The Palisades fire is the biggest of all and has so far burned down 22,660 acres of land destroying more than 5,316 structures.
