Britain’s Got Talent child prodigy Connie Talbot won over ITV viewers at just six years old, and is now a true star. Now 24, the songstress has cultivated a hefty fanbase with over 307,000 followers an incredible leap from her first appearance on BGT in 2007. Connie recently dazzled her Instagram audience with a snapshot of herself in a chic black swimsuit, seemingly soaking up the vibes on a sun-drenched getaway.

Famed for her rendition of “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard Of Oz, Connie had Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Piers Morgan spellbound during the show’s finale. She battled head-to-head with opera singer Paul Potts for the crown. Simon Cowell dubbed her “pure magic” and boldly declared he would aid in making her “£1 million-plus this year”. Connie’s untrained yet captivating audition swiftly caught the judges’ favour and sparked a media frenzy worldwide. Her post-BGT journey witnessed the release of her debut album “Over the Rainbow”, which sold a staggering 250,000 copies, securing the number 35 spot in UK charts and reigning supreme in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan. Connie continued her recording spree with a Christmas album and two further albums by 2012, reports the Mirror.

Connie, who opened up about her ordeal with a stalker last year, is still pursuing her singing career. She dropped an EP titled “Growing Pains” in August 2023 and released a festive single, “Wonderland Skies,” the following December.

Recently, she announced that she’ll be joining US cover band Boyce Avenue on their European tour. Sharing a stunning cover of ABBA’s “Slipping Through My Fingers” on Instagram, she wrote: “A friendly reminder that I’m proudly supporting @boyceavenue on their Europe tour. I am so excited don’t let tickets slip through your fingers … (dad joke) they’re in my bio can’t wait to see you there.”
