After the Miami Dolphins ended the 2024 season with a 32-20 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, star receiver Tyreek Hill made sure that the offseason would be complete hell, indicating that his time with the franchise might be coming to an end.
In 2024, Hill repeatedly stated that he intended to remain with the Miami Dolphins for the rest of his NFL career.
“It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I gotta do what’s best for my career because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there,” Hill told reporters.
Hill just restructured his contract with Miami this season, so a trade would require many financial changes for him to be moved.
Finding a team would be great, as the Dolphins would avoid a lucrative $51.89 million payout to Hill in 2026.
Less than an hour after his comments, four teams would soon emerge for his services.
The Los Angeles Chargers, who are a playoff team, are one of the teams. Tyreek Hill would love life playing with Justin Herbert and having a head coach in Harbaugh.
The most notable team is the Kansas City Chiefs, who Hill played for before he got traded.
The most shocking team is the New England Patriots, who could use a dynamic wideout to pair with Drake Maye.
The last team mentioned is the Washington Commanders, who would love to bring in Hill to pair with Jayden Daniels.
Where Did It All Go Wrong For Tyreek Hill And The Dolphins?
Miami Dolphins star WR Tyreek Hill indicated after Week 18 Sunday that he wants to leave the organization and play for another team.
How did we even get here?
Hill mentioned that this is the first time he has missed the playoffs in his career, and it really seems to be bothering him. He has to continue and watch as his former team gets better without him.
Hill came to Miami in 2022 following a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won the Super Bowl in the 2019-20 season.
The Chiefs proceeded to win two-straight Super Bowls without him.
