Channel 4’s Gogglebox personality Georgia Bell has revealed her engagement to long-term partner Josh Newby following a romantic marriage proposal during their Dubai holiday.
The 25-year-old television favourite accepted Mr Newby’s proposal on October 14 whilst aboard a boat, later sharing the emotional moment with her social media followers.
Ms Bell, who has featured on the popular programme since series 12 alongside friend Abbie Lynn, displayed her new diamond engagement ring in photographs posted online.
The hairdresser expressed her joy with the caption: “14.10.25 YES YES YES!! Officially in our fiancé era. A memory to remember for a lifetime.”
The couple, who have been in a relationship since 2018, are parents to two young sons.
Video footage of the proposal shows Mr Newby dropping to one knee at the front of the boat whilst Ms Bell, dressed in a white ruffled mini-dress and sunglasses, reacted with visible shock.
The reality star covered her mouth and became tearful before accepting the proposal.
Mr Newby wore a blue and white striped shirt with light-coloured shorts for the occasion.
Following Ms Bell’s acceptance, the newly engaged couple embraced and shared their first kiss as fiancés.
Ms Bell subsequently posted photographs showcasing her diamond engagement ring against the Dubai skyline backdrop.
Additional images showed the couple holding hands, displaying the new ring.
The proposal took place during a sailing excursion in Dubai, where the couple had been holidaying together.
Ms Bell and Mr Newby welcomed their first child, Hugh, in July 2022, followed by their second son Ralphie in November 2024. The couple also share a dog called Vinnie.
Ms Bell has appeared on Gogglebox since joining the programme in series 12, forming a popular duo with her best friend Abbie Lynn on the Channel 4 show.
Away from television, Bell works as a hairdresser whilst Ms Lynn is employed as a credit control clerk.
The reality star boasts nearly 100,000 Instagram followers and frequently shares glimpses of her family life.
In August, she reflected on completing her maternity leave, describing the experience as “an absolute rollercoaster” whilst adjusting to becoming a family of five.
Fellow Gogglebox personalities quickly offered their congratulations to the newly engaged couple.
Sophie Sandiford described the news as “amazing”, whilst Jenny and Lee wrote: “Congratulations to you both wow great news much love to ya xx”.

The Malone family commented: “Such lovely news, congratulations to you all”, with Ellie Warner adding: “Congratulations wonderful news”.
Izzi Warner remarked: “Aww lovely news congratulations”, and Lynn herself expressed happiness for her co-star.
Bell previously discussed the challenges of filming Gogglebox whilst caring for her young children. She told the Daily Star: “It’s good fun having the kids with me. But sometimes it is chaos. I have to tell my boyfriend to take them out.”
She noted that her sons would eventually be able to watch themselves on the programme, calling it “an amazing thing to be able to look back on when they’re older”.
