Princess Beatrice’s husband has broken his silence after snubbing a family tradition last month. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has been on Instagram today to send a sweet message to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank after the birth of their third child – a baby girl.
The newborn girl was born on Monday at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces. Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were “delighted to be informed of the news”. It seems that Eugenie’s brother-in-law Edoardo is also happy to hear the news.

Eugenie posted a photograph of the newborn on Tuesday, writing: “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
It is believed Eugenie and Jack are still thinking about a name for their daughter, with their two sons August and Ernest no doubt excited to be big brothers.
Commenting on the photograph of the newborn shared by Eugenie on Instagram, her brother-in-law Edoardo posted three pink hearts emojis and a baby angel emoji.
This Instagram comment by Princess Beatrice’s husband may surprise some, especially as he snubbed his wedding anniversary online last month.
Beatrice’s husband failed to mark their sixth wedding anniversary online on July 17 – something he has marked for almost every single wedding anniversary. The only other time he did not post a social media message for this anniversary was in 2022.
It is not known why he decided not to share a post publicly this year, with July 17 having marked six years since the couple’s special day in Windsor. Their wedding took place during the Covid-19 pandemic, and was not televised. Instead, it was a very intimate occasion.
Last year, Edoardo shared a photograph of him and his wife on a beach. They were standing with their arms around each other and smiling at the camera. He captioned this post: “Happy 5th Anniversary to my incredible partner, the most beautiful and amazing wife.
“I cherish every moment we’ve spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey. Here’s to countless more years filled with laughter and tons of love!”
