WAIT…Joe Buck and Michael Strahan have everyone WORRIED after Michael delivers a CRYPTIC MESSAGE caught on live TV

That was kind of awkward. Joe Buck and Michael Strahan shared a hug on national TV Friday morning, and let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a perfect moment. Buck, currently filling in on Good Morning America, looked like he’d rather be anywhere else when Strahan went in for the goodbye. The clip? It’s already making the rounds.

Strahan, always high-energy, leaned in with his usual charisma. And Buck just gave a quick “Thank you,” and gave off serious awkward energy. And now, fans can’t stop talking about it.

A post from Awful Announcing read, “Joe Buck and Michael Strahan look totally comfortable with this embrace,” which is surely unusual.

Social media didn’t miss a beat. One fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “ABC told Joe Buck, we don’t think you do enough to earn your salary, so we’re going to torture you by having to be on the same set a few days with someone as arrogant as you, Michael Strahan.”

While George Stephanopoulos enjoys his vacation, Buck has been stepping in as guest host. He’s known for his straight-faced, no-nonsense delivery on Monday Night Football, but morning TV? That’s a different field. Strahan, on the other hand, thrives in that bright, energetic setting. When their worlds collided, it didn’t exactly scream chemistry.

Despite the icy body language, Buck hasn’t said a word about the moment. He wrapped up his stint on GMA with a smile, albeit a tight one, and is now shifting focus back to football. He’ll return for his fourth season in the booth alongside Troy Aikman and sideline reporter Lisa Salters. The trio helped Monday Night Football win a Sports Emmy for “Outstanding Live Sports Series” in 2023.

Buck is set to call the Week 1 game between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings on September 8. Whether or not he’ll ever return to morning TV again? That remains to be seen.
