GREAT NEWS! Happiness Overflows As TESS DALY Shares Wonderful Life Update With Husband VERNON KAY And Receives Huge Support

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly was practically glowing as she posed outside Windsor Castle after receiving her MBE from King Charles – with fans rushing to support her as she issued an emotional announcement. After handing in her notice to the BBC dance competition, Tess will depart the series after 21 years after this year’s Christmas special.
Taking to Instagram for her latest update, Tess gushed: “Well that was quite the morning… I hardly know where to begin – and am still pinching myself; I was shaking like a leaf when I curtsied! When I got my first TV presenting job 25 years ago on the Big Breakfast, I never dreamed that I would be standing here today.

“The investiture took place at Windsor Castle where I was deeply honoured to receive an MBE – with the medal presented by His Majesty The King.
“I’m proud to hail from a northern working class background which makes this all the more surreal and special. My only regret is that my darling dad didn’t get to be part of one of the most special days of my life.
“Thank you to everyone I’ve worked with over the years and learnt from along the way-this honour is a reflection of their talent, dedication and support. Receiving this award is a privilege beyond words and without doubt the greatest honour of my career for which I am profoundly and eternally grateful.”
Her showbiz pals rushed to congratulate her, with Rochelle Humes writing: “SO deserved. Congratulations Tess!” Richard Arnold posted a row of heart emojis, while Strictly pro Nadiya Bychkova wrote: “Congratulations!”

Tess was accompanied to the castle by her husband Vernon Kay and their daughter Phoebe, posing in a stunning red gown and headpiece as she shook hands with King Charles.
Vernon paid tribute to his wife on his own page, writing: “Huge congratulations Tess. Since we met your drive, dedication, focus and professionalism in how you work and live is a huge inspiration.
“You deserve your MBE today. 21 years at the helm of @bbcstrictly is a record for any female in entertainment telly. Let’s pop those corks!”
