During Sunday’s closing ceremony, Prince Harry looked visibly moved as Canadian Prime Minsiter Justin Trudeau praised him during his speech.

Trudeau said: “To the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, without whom these Invictus Games would never have happened.

You have changed the lives of so many people for the better.

“You, you are the one who turned this incredible idea into a reality and as someone that you roped in early on in my time as Prime Minister, I can testify to the energy, the dedication, the commitment this man has to you and to this ideal.”

He added: “You have changed the lives of so many people for the better and for that we all owe you the deepest debt of gratitude. Thank you.”

As the audience clapped and cheered for the duke, he looked visibly emotional and gave a thumbs up.

Elsewhere, back in California, it seems Meghan was watching the closing ceremony. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Duchess of Sussex praised her husband.

She wrote, alongside a video of the ceremony: “So proud of you!”

It comes days after Meghan, 43, flew back to California to be back with the couple’s young children.

A source told HELLO! last week that Meghan’s departure was always planned. They said: “This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children.

“This is Prince Harry’s event, and she is there to support him, but this was planned.”
