EXCLUSIVE: Tess Daly’s bombshell move after Vernon Kay leaves family home

TV icon Tess Daly is reportedly moving forward with major career plans as her estranged husband Vernon Kay prepares to move out of their Buckinghamshire mansion. This comes as the latest development in their journey towards divorce, as the former couple shocked the nation in May after announcing their split. The BBC Radio 2 presenter is said to be leaving the family’s six-bedroom Buckinghamshire home and moving to a property about 15 minutes away. This was reportedly so that their daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16, could easily visit their father.
According to reports, the property, which reportedly costs £3 million, is currently being renovated and Vernon will relocate as soon as the works are complete. Despite this, Tess, who recently stepped down from hosting Strictly Come Dancing, is making fresh career moves with several projects in development, in addition to her current Magic Radio show. “It’s bittersweet. She’s sad her marriage didn’t work out – she wanted this to be for life, but she knows it’s the best thing,” said the pal. “It feels so final with Vernon moving out, and even though it’s the right thing, it’s still the end of an era.”

The friend continued: “On one hand, it’s an upsetting time with her and Vernon moving on, but on the other, this is also a really exciting time which is all about new beginnings.”
As one of her goals includes expanding her reach within health and beauty, the insider via The Mirror added: “She looks great in her late fifties, and she wants to be an inspiration for older women.
“She’s looking forward to working with some big brands, and with her daughter, Phoebe, who is like a best friend. She wants to do a YouTube show with her, especially as she thinks Phoebe will be more relatable to a younger audience.”
This comes after the 57-year-old previously shared a photo with herself and Phoebe at a mystery studio and teased: “No longer bring your daughter to work day, but working alongside her.”
This is in addition to her growing fashion lines, NAIA Beach and NAIA Active, which she co-founded with her close friend Gayle Lawton in 2021 and is eager to expand.
Highlighting this, Tess said earlier: “This is a bona fide business. This is not an endorsement deal. This is my baby.”
In a joint statement in May, Tess and Vernon described their separation as amicable and confirmed they would “remain great friends,” which remains the case as the father of two, thanks fans for their support upon his return to radio.
He said: “I just want to say on behalf of me and Tess, thank you for all your well wishes. It has been greatly, greatly appreciated.”
Since their split, Vernon has also publicly supported the former model’s swimwear brand by liking and commenting on Instagram.
