Stephen A Smith has addressed the news of the lawsuit filed against his former co-host, Skip Bayless, claiming that the assertions being made are not in line with the character of the man he knows.

Smith and Bayless have very notable history together, having worked together on ESPN’s ‘First Take’ before the latter departed for FS1.

The ESPN host is one of the people everyone looks forward to hearing from whenever Skip makes the news, and he had a bit to say on his show, ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show’ following the most recent development.

Stephen A Smith Says Skip Bayless Is One Of The Cheapest People He Knows

Bayless has been accused of offering a former FOX employee, Noushin Faraji, $1.5 million to sleep with him, something Smith feels is unlikely given how cheap he knows his former coworker to be.

“Here’s what I would tell you…I’ve known Skip for [25 years], I can’t imagine it. I can’t imagine it. Especially when they brought up the $1.5 million, the Skip Bayless I know has a hard time giving away $15. He’s one of the cheapest people I know.”

Smith stressed several times that he was not in a position to speak on the subject because he had no actual knowledge of what had transpired.

“But that doesn’t mean that I had any inside knowledge about any of this,” he added. “I don’t and I’m not going to get involved.”

Bayless himself has yet to respond to the allegations.

Veteran pitcher Justin Verlander is no longer a free agent after agreeing to a one-year deal with the San Francisco Giants. The Giants’ rumors of wanting pitchers were true, but not many anticipated Verlander being the one.

The Houston Astros stayed away from their long-time ace as they never offered him a contract. Not to forget that they did not include Verlander in their postseason rotation last year. 2024 was a disaster for Verlander, and many thought his career would be over. Yet, he’s found his way on the Giants rotation.

While Justin Verlander is ready to pitch for another year, many MLB fans believe that his age would be a letdown. Fans took to social media to express their thoughts on the Giants’ $15 million one-year contract.
