TODAY has made a huge change to the lineup after Hoda Kotb’s exit, with Craig Melvin taking the seat next to main anchor Savannah Guthrie.

And viewers have been asking about Sheinelle Jones’ whereabouts after Hoda’s final day last week.

Sheinelle normally works on the show as a co-host, and sometimes fills in for the main anchors.

But today, Sheinelle was not in, with fans quick to question where she was following Hoda’s departure.

Monday, January 13 wasn’t the only time that Sheinelle has been missing from the show recently.

Sheinelle was not on air during the exciting “Hoda-bration” that took place all of last week.

During Hoda’s final week on the show, fans also voiced their concerns amid Sheinelle’s absence.

“Sad to see Hoda leave. However, where is Sheinelle? Haven’t seen her since before Christmas,” said one person in a Facebook group.

Another added: “I hope she’s ok healthwise. And I certainly hope nothing happened behind the scenes and she’s been let go or quit.”

This comes as Craig became teary-eyed while on set as he stepped into Hoda’s shoes following her departure.

Hoda wrote a letter to staff in September 2024 sharing her decision to leave, with the host departing the show last week once and for all.

For his first day without Hoda by his side as he took her place, a very teary-eyed Craig was hosting with Savannah.

While hosting the show, Craig learned that his former co-host had a pre-recorded message for his first day.

“I’m moving forward, so reach back your hand. Grab the baton, your world will expand,” the letter said as it was read aloud.

“The adventures are endless, the people so dear. Great memories await, year after year.

“Day One! You are ready surrounded by love. Your team is the kind you can only dream of.”

“Savannah, Al, and Carson are here! With partners like these, your runway is clear,” the emotional letter went on.

“From out on the plaza, to inside 30 Rock, your fans are so eager, they’re watching the clock.

“The time has arrived to rise like the sun. I am cheering for you, and a fabulous run!”

SWEET MOMENT

That wasn’t where the emotional moments ended for Craig, because his wife Lindsay Czarniak, their two children Delano and Sybil, plus his mother Betty Jo, father Lawrence, and brother Ryan all appeared onscreen to celebrate.

Craig then became even more emotional, with the TV anchor completely taken aback in a sweet way.
