WHAT WE KNOW IS JUST THE COVER: Cat Deeley’s ex-husband’s family REVEAL the moment they ‘Knew The Marriage Was Over’

TV presenter and comedian Patrick Kielty has moved into his ‘divorce house’ after his separation from his wife of 13 years, Cat Deeley. Following a difficult few months, the 54-year-old has been spotted in Dundrum, County Down, as his loved ones rally around him. While fans of the couple were shocked to learn the news of their split back in July, when Cat, 48, confirmed their separation, it seems his family were less surprised. Sources revealed to The Sun that Cat was nowhere to be seen at his mother’s funeral in March, and this was the moment that his family “knew the marriage was over”. One said: “Whatever rockiness was going on in the marriage, for something as momentous as his mother’s funeral, you would make up even temporarily and just put your ‘best face’ on, as we say in Northern Ireland.

“Cat obviously knew how close Patrick was to Mary, and she should have come to be by his side, a hand on his shoulder as he buried his mother. The fact that she stayed in London and presented This Morning on the day has not been forgotten.” Although at the time, those close to Cat unveiled that her reason for staying back home was, in fact, to be with their two young sons, Milo and James. The Daily Mail reported that a spokesperson for the ITV presenter commented: “Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.”

Nowadays Kielty is reportedly living a new lifestyle in his swanky “lad pad”, in his native Northern Ireland. The stylish property overlooks serene views of Dundrum Bay, along with the Mourne Mountains, and just so happens to be decked out with a games room, cinema, gym and even a spa.

The very same house was often used to see the Late Late Host stay with his wife and children during visits to the idyllic village. An insider told the Daily Mail: “He’s not been coming out as much as he usually does when he’s here, and it’s been very hard for him, but the whole family and his friends have been supporting him.”

Irish locals have had sightings of the TV star as he’s been on outings with his two boys; one even spotted him in a local pub not too far from their old holiday home, dubbed “divorce house”. They shared: “He was in here with the two boys and, to be honest, seemed a lot quieter than he usually is.

“Normally, he’s not at the house very much because he spends most of his time away for work, but we all know that he’s been back in Dundrum for quite a while now.”

This isn’t the first time Patrick has moved, as the famous pair relocated to the US when Cat was hosting the hit reality show So You Think You Can Dance.

The couple went public with their relationship after over 10 years of friendship, in May 2012, when romance rumours had begun to swirl. Before we knew it, the TV duo had tied the knot in September 2012 at an intimate ceremony in Rome, which led to a 13-year-long marriage and two children together.
