Roman Kemp’s BRIT Awards replacement revealed as Jack Whitehall
A familiar face is returning…
The One Show host Roman Kemp has been replaced by Jack Whitehall as host of the BRIT Awards this year.
This week, it was announced that Roman would not be back to front this year’s show. The 31 year old co-hosted the ceremony last year and hosted red carpet coverage in 2023.
And his replacement has now been revealed…

On Thursday (January 16) it was confirmed that Jack Whitehall will be stepping in to host this year’s BRIT Awards.
The actor previously hosted the show four times, with his last gig being back in 2021.
The news was announced on Instagram via a video that saw Jack brainstorm puns on his name.
Reacting to his replacement, Roman commented under the video: “Return of the King.”

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘Jack is such a brilliant Brits host and isn’t afraid to take the [explicit] out of some of the world’s biggest stars.
“He has such a hectic diary that he’s been unable to take part for the past few years but he was available this time and said yes immediately.”
They added: “It is one of his favourite gigs as he can have some real fun with the celebs.”

Last year saw Roman co-host the BRIT Awards alongside Maya Jama and Clara Amfo.
However, according to the MailOnline, Roman was a last-minute addition to the hosting line-up last year. The star reportedly stepped in for Idris Elba, who pulled out quite late in the day.
However, despite fans hailing his stint co-hosting as a success, the star isn’t returning to host this year.
The BRITs take place on March 1 and will be televised on ITV1.

‘He’s a pro and gets it’
A source close to the star previously claimed that he hasn’t been asked to front the show this year. They alleged: “Roman has been told he isn’t hosting this year. He loved it but accepts that these things change,” they then continued.
“He was flattered to be chosen to do it last year but he’s a pro and gets it.”

Last year, he revealed that he’d “burst into tears” when asked to host the show.
“When they told me, I cried. The BRITs has always been on this pedestal for me because in terms of excitement in the UK, there is nothing like it,” he said.
