Emmerdale delivered one of its most shocking cliffhangers of the year during Thursday night’s explosive episode (8 May), as long-running tensions erupted in a brutal act of revenge against Joe Tate.

The drama unfolded at Lydia Dingle’s 50th birthday celebration at Home Farm, where festivities quickly turned sour. While Lydia’s mysterious no-show raised eyebrows, it was Joe’s dramatic downfall — quite literally — that left viewers stunned.

After a night of explosive revelations and fiery confrontations, Joe’s dark secrets finally came to light, triggering chaos among the guests. But the night took a deadly turn when, in a shocking twist, someone pushed the manipulative businessman out of an upstairs window.
