The Chase fans were switching off in droves on Thursday’s episode of the ITV quiz show (August 28) after slamming what they describes as the “worst” contestant ever. Bradley Walsh introduced players Stu from Stockton-on-Tees, Jane from Manchester, Billy from Surrey and Lisa from West Yorkshire as they pit their wits against Paul “The Sinnerman” in the hope of winning a potential prize pot worth thousands of pounds.
But when player Billy took his chance against the brainiac in hopes of winning some cash for the bank, he would up choosing a low offer of just £200. Fans were infuriated by the move, with some even switching off the show entirely. One fan blasted: “when someone takes a lot offer like that i just switch off – what’s point? last night tom took 95k and tonight it’s £200? got better things to do #thechase.”.

Another penned: “Has that lad just took £200 to the final chase? What an absolute douche, i bet he wants a new house and car with his winnings,” while a third slammed: “Imagine going through the application process, the audition, the travel to and from the studio for £200 What a twonk.”
But the drama didn’t stop there. Paul seemed to join in on the “low offer” chaos by handing the next contestant a minus £200 option — a move that, if accepted and won, would have wiped out Billy’s modest contribution to the prize pot.
Despite opting to skip the low offer, fans had a lot to say about it.
“Imagine if she did go for the -£200 and undo all of Billy’s hard work,” one fan joked.” A second shared: “I was rooting for her to take the -£200.”

And some of the questions had fan irked, when Bradley was heard asking: “which actor was born Clinton Eastwood?”. Many dubbed the question “too easy” and “a joke”.
An actual question just on #TheChase ‘which actor was born Clinton Eastwood’ WTF !?!?!? – really!” blasted one fan.
Another echoed:” What actor was born Clinton Eastwood? Really?” and a third joked: “Chasers questions: “Which actor was born Clinton Eastwood? What farmyard creature lays eggs? Which Canadian rapper is called Drake? What colour is gold? What letter does potato start with? What 3 letter word describes a dog?”
Lisa and Jane were unable to bring any money back after being succesfully booted off by Paul, who was on top form.
Despite Stu banking £5k, bringing their total to £5200, Paul sent the pair home empty handed, catching them with plenty of time to spare.
