TV SH0CK: The Chase Stunned Into Silence As Contestant ISSUES 7-Word STATEMENT After Historic Win

The Chase returned for another new episode on Tuesday as four contestants hoped to win some cash. Bradley Walsh introduced Meena, 62, from Beaconsfield, Reuben, 18, from Middlesbrough, Bea, 48, from London and Lawrence, 55, from Leicester hoped that they can beat a Chaser together and leave with thousands of pounds. The team went up against Anne Hegerty during the tense episode but one contestant left the ITV host open-mouthed when he made a cheeky dig at The Governess.
Meena was first up to take on The Chaser who secured an impressive £6,000 in the cash builder round. The contestant then breezed through a tricky head-to-head and secured the first spot in the final, kickstarting the shared prize pot. Up next was Reuben, but it appeared his nerves got the better of him having only secured £1,000 in the cash builder. He opted to take the low offer of £0 with hopes of getting back to the team but it was not meant to be after being caught by the Chaser.

It was now up to Lawrence who bagged an impressive £8,000 in his cash builder.
Much to his teammate Meena’s delight the player opted for an eye-watering offer of £60k, as he commented: “I have to do it I’m only here once.”
Lawrence managed to outrun The Chaser and secure a spot in the final alongside Meena bringing the cash prize total to £66,000.
They achieved a score of 19 but outrun Anne with just one second to spare.
Bradley gushed: “Oh wow, what a game!”
Anne admitted defeat saying, “I just wasn’t going fast enough.”
The ITV host went on to close the programme, stating; “Not quite fast enough. There you have it a target of 19/20 rule book will put them under pressure.”
Lawrence swiftly interrupted: “Can I just say something? For you Anne, the Chase is over.”
His comment was met with giggles from his teammate Meena as Anne rolled her eyes.
Viewers took to social media as one person quipped: “Ooohhh burn. Nice one Lawrence. Deserved win. Lawrence was brilliant with the high offer chase, Meena amazing in the final. #TheChase.”
Another commented: “Cheeky having a dig at Anne at the end #thechase.”

A third penned: “Ok Lawrence don’t gloat #thechase.”
Another added: “SUPER DUO! Meena played in the final incredible! Lawrence brought in the 60K! #TheChase.”
