After her husband Kobe Bryant’s tragic passing in 2020, Vanessa Bryant has successfully continued their family’s legacy.
The Los Angeles native, who married the NBA legend in 2001, has emerged as a prominent figure in both the sports and business worlds all while raising her and Kobe’s three daughters, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. The couple’s daughter Gianna tragically passed away in the same helicopter accident as her father.
As of 2025, Vanessa’s estimated net worth is $600 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, with a large portion of that wealth coming from her inheritance after Kobe’s untimely death. At the time of his passing, Kobe’s net worth was valued at $600 million by Forbes. However, Vanessa’s own professional ventures have contributed significantly to her fortune as well.
In addition to her inheritance, Vanessa, 42, received a substantial payout from a lawsuit filed against Los Angeles County for invasion of privacy after graphic photos of the crash site were leaked. Initially receiving $16 million in damages, the case settled for nearly $28 million in early 2023, according to People.
Vanessa was the President and CEO of Granity Studios, the company that produced Kobe’s books and his podcast, The Punies. To honor their late daughter Gianna, she launched the Mambacita clothing line, with all profits benefitting the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, a non-profit she renamed in honor of both Kobe and Gianna.
The entrepreneur co-founded the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation alongside her husband in 2007, receiving a philanthropy award for her efforts in 2021. She also donated a large amount of clothing to victims of the 2025 wildfires in southern California.
