Daily Expresso favourite and TalkTV host Mark Dolan believes Meghan Markle has squandered a major opportunity to help repair Prince Harry’s relationship with the Royal Family. Speaking to royal correspondent Rupert Bell, Dolan claimed the uncertainty surrounding whether the Duchess of Sussex will accompany Harry to the UK has only deepened tensions with Buckingham Palace. The Duke of Sussex travelled to Britain for Invictus-related engagements, but Meghan and their two children decided to remain in California over security concerns.
Discussing the latest developments, Bell described the situation as “an ever-ending soap opera” and argued it was largely of Harry’s own making. He said the uncertainty over whether Meghan and the children might still arrive later in the week had left royal aides facing another round of speculation.

Bell suggested Harry was demanding a higher level of security than he is likely to receive, insisting there would still be protection in place during his visit.
Dolan went further, arguing the Sussexes had missed an opportunity to improve relations with King Charles.
“They had it all going for them,” he said, suggesting the visit could have allowed the King to spend time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet for the first time in several years.

Instead, Dolan claimed that opportunity had “gone up in smoke.”

Bell agreed the continuing uncertainty risked overshadowing Harry’s work promoting the Invictus Games.

He said: “Harry has got to start reading the room.”
The royal correspondent added that the constant speculation over whether the Sussexes would travel together was becoming “boring and tedious”, with the ongoing uncertainty creating unnecessary drama.
Bell also questioned Harry’s long-running concerns over security, arguing the Duke would still receive an appropriate level of protection while in Britain.
Dolan suggested the row would only fuel further claims from the Sussexes that they had not received enough support, while Bell warned the continuing saga was distracting from causes Harry is trying to champion, including the Invictus Games.
