The beloved presenter, who had a very famous family, d!ed after a battle with c@ncer.

S4C presenter Sara Ogwen Williams has d!ed at the age of just 55, after battling c@ncer. Sara was best known for her work producing Welsh language programmes including Y ‘Sgubor Flodau (The Flower Barn) and Ar Led, as well as various acting roles. She worked as a researcher for BBC Wales, and famously appeared in a red dragon dress to encourage young people to vote in the 1999 National Assembly election.
Her brother, broadcaster Rhodri Ogwen Williams, announced the death of his sister in an emotional post. BBC and Sky star Rhodri wrote: “We are completely devastated at having to say goodbye to the best sister, daughter, mother, wife, friend and colleague anyone could hope to have. Sara was the best person ever. Sara was beautiful inside and out. Sara was our heroine, and she will be to us forever.
“Her legacy is such that she will continue to influence everyone who was lucky enough to meet her.
“Sara, you are the best, we will all be lost without you, but you will be with us every day, as is Dad.
“Thank you all for your love and support throughout Sara’s brave battle with c@ncer. Sara fought with great dignity.”
He added that the family ask for time to “come to terms with the loss of Sara”, adding that it will be possible “in due course, for us to have the comfort of being with you to share our wonderful memories of her”.
Sara was the daughter of presenter and actress Jenny Ogwen, and late broadcaster Euryn Ogwen Williams.

S4C’s chief communications officer Llion Iwan also paid tribute to the late star, with a statement that read: “Sara was a person who was always full of ideas and creativity and contributed to programs and series on S4C for years.
“We will miss the exuberant buzz and the production values she constantly contributed to the content, with her last series broadcast only a few months ago.
“Deep condolences to her children Soffia and Gabriel, her brother Rhodri and her mother Jenny.”
