Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce plan to take a break together and enjoy some downtime after the Kansas City Chiefs star endured a crushing night at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

There is intensifying speculation that the Chiefs star could retire at the age of 35 after the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and is said to be genuinely considering his NFL future.

But amid unrest in his professional life, things with the pop star are going from strength-to-strength despite an intense past year for them both.

A source told People that after Kelce’s loss in New Orleans on Sunday, which has been described as ‘upsetting for everyone’, the couple are planning a break together.

‘Their lives have been a whirlwind since they first started dating,’ the source is quoted as saying. ‘Things seem great between them, and they’re incredibly happy together.’

But as for Kelce’s future, the source only said: ‘She truly loves watching Travis play.’

Kelce’s older brother Jason was cheering for the Eagles, the team he spent his entire 13-year career playing for, at the Super Bowl – even though his brother was playing for the Chiefs.

After the Eagles won 40-22, Jason broke his silence in the early hours of Tuesday to reveal his mixed emotions.

‘That game was odd for me to watch if I’m being completely honest,’ he wrote on X.

‘I knew it was going to be mixed emotions before, during, and after, and I now know what my parents had to deal with two years ago. On one hand, I wanted what is best for my brother, and to see his success.

‘And on the other hand, there are so many people, teammates, and coaches, in the Philadelphia Eagles organization that I care deeply about, Many of whom I owe my own success to throughout my career.

‘As for my brother, There isn’t a person I love or care about more. It has been tough to process these feelings, of course I feel for him and am always rooting for him, but I know he does not need, nor want my pity.

‘He has amassed greatness few on this planet could ever dream of, as has his team, and they should feel pride in their accomplishments this season and in the past.

‘I know right now they are still thinking of last night and the shortcomings in the last game, But in time that will fade, and the greatness they have exhibited as a group will remain as one of the most dominant eras of football ever.’

Kelce has not spoken out a great deal since the game, aside from a brief chat with reporters in the locker room after he had left the field.

He paid tribute to the Eagles and left it at that, cutting questions before he was asked about his future in the game.

It remains to be seen if he outlines his thoughts any further on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason, which usually comes out every Wednesday.

Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, said that he would give the tight end time and space to decide what is best for him from here.
