On Friday’s show, Jenna, 42, admitted that last year, she and Hoda, 59, did the Polar Bear Plunge last year for fun, but this year they tried cold therapy to see how it could transform them.
“Jenna and I geared up, took some really deep breaths, and went in for the plunge,” Hoda said.
Today then showed Hoda and Jenna in black bathing suits on the beach last year.
They then went on to talk about this year’s cold therapy challenge, where they were immersed in ice water for one and a half minutes.
The 39-degree water can help regulate mood, increase focus, and decrease inflamation.
The hosts did breathwork before getting into the water to help them relax and breathe while in the water.
SEXY HOSTS
When their breathwork was finished, the hosts got changed into their bathing suits.
Jenna had her hair up and her bathing suit had a cut out on the back.
The suit showed off her toned back and arms.
Hoda also put her short hair up in a ponytail.
Her bathing suit was also a one-piece and a halter top that showed off her toned arms.
Hoda and Jenna wound up staying in the tiny tub for two and a half minutes.
“We were very intimate in that tiny tub,” Jenna revealed when the cameras cut back to them in the studio.
“It felt a little odd, but we liked it,” Hoda admitted.
DATING DEETS
Speaking of intimate, Hoda opened up about her dating life on a recent episode after her split from her ex-fiance, Joel Schiffman.
They chatted about the ins and outs of modern dating on Friday’s episode.
The co-hosts discussed how some people were entering new chapters in their dating lives, like actress Sofia Vergara.
Sofia and her husband Joe Manganiello announced in September they were divorcing after seven years of marriage.
While on the subject, Jenna got curious about Hoda, and what she had been up to in terms of romance.
“How do you find dating in New York City?” Jenna asked her.
“Well, I’ve only gone on two dates since,” Hoda replied, referring to her 2022 split.
“I think it’s time for us to change that,” Jenna told her co-host.
“Are you about to reveal something right now?” a worried Hoda asked, looking around the set.
“No,” a grinning Jenna assured her.
“Come on out, Bill! What?!” she joked, mimicking an announcer.
Jenna clarified she wasn’t going to bring anyone out, adding, “I just think it’s time for us to change that for you.”
“There are a lot of people who are entering new and exciting chapters, and these are all exciting chapters, so I agree with that,” Hoda said.
