Katherine Renee Kane – NOT RETURNING

While most of the cast is just presumptive at this time, we do know one person who definitely won’t return in Season 8.

Katherine Renee Kane left the show during Season 7, and she won’t be back to reprise her role as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace in Season 8.

“It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best,” she told Deadline in a statement.

“Yeah, to know that some people that were vetted, and they vet FBI agents a lot. To think that multiple of those people have turned out to be anti-government is probably going to be handled in the infrastructure. They vet pretty hard, they’re going to vet even harder after this. So listen, we’re going to reignite a trust in the organization, into the FBI, all the agents and analysts. There’s going to be something to address that from the top [down]. I’m not sure if Isobel makes it through this crisis. But I’m sure she and the ADIC, or whoever’s at the top, will figure out some way to figure out something. See how I did that?” he told Parade of Season 8.

FBI star Missy Peregrym’s overlooked horror movie Out Come the Wolves has found a streaming home. The survival film will debut on Hulu on Friday, June 20.

Out Come the Wolves is a reunion for Peregrym and director Adam MacDonald. The duo collaborated on the project after previously working together on his 2014 movie Backcountry — which pitted Peregrym against a vicious black bear. And according to MacDonald, the two films have much more in common.

Peregrym is once again battling the forces of nature in Out Come the Wolves, when a hunting getaway into the forest takes a terrifying turn. Her character Sophie, Sophie’s boyfriend Nolan (played by Damon Runyan) and her friend Kyle (Joris Jarsky) must all fight for their lives when they are methodically hunted by a pack of wolves.

MacDonald directed Out Come the Wolves based on a script by Enuka Okuma and Tyler Russell. The director told Bloody Disgusting that this movie, Backcountry and 2017’s Pyewacket are connected “in my own mind” because of all three films taking place in the wilderness.

“My dream was to make a trilogy. Originally, it was about women surviving extreme circumstances or the backdrop of the woods,” MacDonald confirmed. “So that was Pyewacket with the woods, and Backcountry and Out Come The Wolves, they all opened similarly. They close very similarly, and they open very similarly.”

MacDonald continued, “It’s just my love affair with the woods, and I wanted to make that the backdrop… [Peregrym’s character] was not capable in [Backcountry], so what is it like when she is capable? Of course, this is the cousin to that movie. If you liked Backcountry, I’m hoping you’ll like this and [us] being like, oh, we’ll take it to another level in a way with some more action.”

The movie will also be of interest to Peregrym fans who remember her starring role as Andy McNally in the Canadian police procedural Rookie Blue. Okuma — who in addition to writing Out Come the Wolves was recently seen as Xavier Collins’ wife Dr. Teri Rogers-Collins in Paradise and on HBO Max’s hit medical drama The Pitt — played Andy’s best friend Traci Nash on Rookie Blue. MacDonald had a recurring role as Steve Peck, Traci’s love interest and the brother of Officer Gail Peck, portrayed by FBI alum Charlotte Sullivan.

FBI: Most Wanted may have recently aired its series finale, but one of the showrunners teases what would have happened if the show wasn’t canceled.

Peregrym will return to FBI for its eighth season in Fall 2025, having played Special Agent Maggie Bell on the CBS drama since its first episode. While CBS cancelled spinoffs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International in March, a new series in the same universe entitled CIA will premiere in the fall as well. CIA stars Tom Ellis (Lucifer) as a CIA agent who joins forces with a member of the FBI.
