Football fans are losing their minds after Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named the MVP over Lamar Jackson, who was denied a second straight award.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Josh Allen won a close race with 383 voting points. Lamar Jackson, who was looking to match Tom Brady’s three MVP awards, was a close second with 362.

Most folks knew that it would be a tight race between the two superstar quarterbacks, but not everyone agreed with the final results. Plenty of fans were left baffled about the voters giving Allen the honors over Jackson:

This was literally Lamar voter fatigue. That’s all it is,” one fan said.

“LAMAR ROBBED!,” said another.

“I like Josh, but Lamar the real MVP,” remarked one fan.

“Lamar Jackson got robbed of his 3rd MVP. Allen had a great year but Lamar was the best player in the league and I think it’s hard to debate otherwise,” quipped another.

“Lamar just got robbed what a joke of a league 😂,” wrote a fan.

“Pretty sure Lamar blew Josh Allen out of the water this year. What a joke,” said another.

Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson Stat Comparisons

Allen completed 63.6 percent of his pass attempts for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and six picks to go along with 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing scores.

As for Jackson, he completed 66.7 percent of pass attempts for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns and four interceptions to go along with 915 rushing yards and four rushing TDs. It could have gone either way, but the voters ultimately went with Allen.

VIDEO: Mic’d Up Cameras Caught Josh Allen’s Epic 4-Word Message To Patrick Mahomes After Bills-Chiefs AFC Championship Game

Cameras caught the heartwarming interaction between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen after the Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills AFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated the Bills 32-29 at Arrowhead Stadium to win the AFC Championship while punching their third straight ticket to the Super Bowl. Kansas City will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 on Feb. 9, a rematch of the big dance two years ago.

It also marked the fourth time in five years where Patrick Mahomes bested Josh Allen in the postseason. While Buffalo is left wondering how they squandered another opportunity, the Chiefs are aiming to complete the first ever Super Bowl three-peat.

After the game, cameras caught a classy Allen going over to Mahomes and delivering a powerful four-word message.

“Go get another one,” Allen said.

Though they’ve been rivals on the field for five years and counting, Allen and Mahomes have a good relationship off the field. Together, they went up against Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady in a golf showdown June 1, 2022 called “The Match.”

It’s not as if it’s been a one-sided football rivalry, though. Allen and the Bills are 4-1 against Mahomes in the regular season, having won the last four meetings. Three of their four playoff losses have been decided by six points or less.

But alas, Allen and the Bills must wait another long year for the next opportunity at championship glory.

Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs Are One Win Away From History

The Chiefs have made a compelling case as the greatest dynasty of the Super Bowl era, but a win against the Eagles in New Orleans would seal the deal.

Yes, the “Steel Curtain” Pittsburgh Steelers won four Super Bowls as well. The San Francisco 49ers won five from 1981 to ’94, and the New England Patriots won six (!) between the 2001 and 2018 seasons.
