Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood exchanged some strongwords in a heated scene during the second round of the 2025 Ryder Cup on Saturday.

We’ve seen all sorts of wild moments during the 2025 Ryder Cup at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. You had Rory McIlroy telling hecklers on the 16th hole to “shut the f**k up” before hitting a beautiful shot within a few feet of the hole.

The heckling toward McIlroy and Shane Lowry spiraled out of control to the point where extra state troopers were assigned to quiet the obnoxious fans down.

If you thought that wasn’t crazy enough, let Bryson DeChambeau, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose take it away. Tensions between DeChambeau, the two Team Europe stars and even the caddies quickly escalated after the 15th hole.

Per Brentley Romine of the Golf Channel, Rose later stated that the argument started when he asked if it was his turn to put. Rose admitted he didn’t ask”politely” and said they took it “the wrong way.”

After exchanging words on the greens, Bryson DeChambeau got into it with Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose. Ted Scott, Scottie Scheffler’s caddie, was also involved in the confrontation:

You be the judge if it’s justified or not, but DeChambeau is sure developing an interesting habit of displaying anger and frustrations on the golf course.

Cameras caught Bryson DeChambeau complaining about hecklers during his LIV Golf UK round back in July. He also faced backlash for his testy exchange with a volunteer at The Open a week earlier.

Say what you want about “The Scientist,” but DeChambeau has always been unapologetic about displaying his emotions on the golf course. But you rarely see pros get into a heated argument during a round, which made his confrontation with Fleetwood and Rose so bizarre.
