Craig Revel Horwood stunned This Morning presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard by suggesting that there’s more to the story of Bruno Tonioli’s departure from Strictly Come Dancing than previously known.
In 2022, fans of the popular BBC dance competition were saddened as judge Bruno Tonioli bid farewell after nearly two decades on the show. Bruno attributed his exit to challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficulties of managing commitments on both the British and American editions of the programme.
Yet fellow judge Craig suggests there’s another side to the tale. The outspoken BBC personality teased that he might reveal “what really happened” during an upcoming Q&A segment on his new Revelations tour.
Celebrating his 60th birthday this year, Craig is looking to spice up his career and explore his long-held interest in singing. Encouraged by his mother, Craig decided it was the perfect time to release a new album and embark on his Revelations tour, which will feature tributes to icons like Shirley Bassey and performances as Ursula The Sea Witch, including songs from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
On This Morning, while chatting with Cat and Ben about his forthcoming tour, he revealed a surprising detail. He revealed: “I will be doing a Q&A, and I am hoping that people will ask me the hardest questions,” reports Wales Online.

Cat Deeley on This Morning
Ben was taken aback and sought confirmation, asking: “So you’re literally going to open up the floor to the audience that comes in and say ‘anything you want to ask?'”.
Craig responded affirmatively: “Yes, they can, and they can also do it through texting, and they’ll text my lovely pianist Ben Goddard, who’s gorgeous, and we’re doing a couple of duets together, so it’s not just me and Shirley Bassey and Ursula.”
He emphasised: “I am accepting anything, I will answer any question I am asked, whether it’s on Strictly, my personal life, anything.”
Cat responded with a surprised “Wow” and queried, “Are you telling a few showbiz stories along the way?” but was left stunned by Craig’s candid response.

He started listing some of the juicy details he was ready to spill on tour, informing the hosts, “I’ll be talking about what Shirley Ballas was really like. I’ll be talking about why Bruno really left. ” He paused for effect, adding, “No one knows that, do they?” as the presenters gasped.
“Ohh, that might have been for money,” Craig confirmed with a broad grin.
His remarks seemed to be made in jest as the Strictly judge then professed his “love” for Bruno, fondly recalling a travel show they’d done together and declaring: “It was spectacular.”
