Tory MP Michael Fabricant has opened up about his polyamorous lifestyle for the first time on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former MP, who is bis3xual, made his show debut as the fourth housemate to enter the Big Brother house.
But he surprised viewers on Tuesday as he revealed to Drag Race UK winner Danny Bear that he has a partner of 35 years as well as several ‘deep friendships’.
Michael hinted at his relationship with former Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street, who he met at an Oxford University reunion, being open as he revealed he has several ‘deep friendships’ with people he goes on solo holidays with.
‘I’ve never been in the closet,’ Michael said, before Jojo Siwa asked if he was in a relationship and he replied: ‘It’s complicated. I have someone who I have known for 35 years who’s 13 years younger than me.
‘But I also have, and this is even more complicated, two friends and we all go on holiday separately with me or not.’

He surprised viewers on Tuesday as he revealed to Drag Race UK winner Danny Bear that he has a partner of 35 years as well as several ‘deep friendships’
Danny asked: ‘Would you call that an open relationship? Because I actually think a lot of gay people like that and a lot of straight people don’t understand it.’
Michael appeared to agree with Danny as he nodded his head, before later adding: I would maybe say I’ve got very deep friendships. That would maybe be more tactful.’
The reveal shocked viewers, who wrote: ‘Michael Fabricant has THREE boyfriends. And I can’t even get one,’;
‘I was not expecting michael fabricant to be polyamorous… what is going on,’; ‘shaking at michael fabricant and andy streets open relationship,’;
‘Okay, loving the poly convo between JoJo, Danny and Michael,’; ‘Not Michael telling us he has 3 situationships, my man is OUTSIDE the streets VIP,’;
‘Just had to explain to my very traditional, vanilla Dad in layman’s terms what Michael was talking about regarding his ‘friendships’ and honestly I think I’ve taken about five years off his life,’;
‘Michael Fabricant out here with 3 partners and I can’t get a reply to a message.’

Michael previously spoke about his and Andy’s relationship as he revealed they are ‘very close’ but lead ‘separate lives’.
In 2021, he told GB News that he and Andy are ‘life partners’.
Michael was faced with the ‘loudest arrival boos ever’ as he entered the iconic house during Monday’s live episode.
As he joined hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best on the colourful bridge, the rowdy crowd beneath them did not seem impressed by his appearance.
He was particularly boo’d during the moments he mention his blonde locks and when he gave a shout out to his fellow conservatives on live TV.
And the unhappy audience did not go unmissed as viewers flocked to x, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.
One penned: ‘The boos for Michael Fabricant lmao, Conservatives always get booed. But it’s interesting that he’s bis3xual and says he’s quite liberal, could he surprise us? #CBBUK #CBB’

Asked how he would get on with the other celebrities, he replied: ‘It’s difficult to say.
‘If they’re bright, amusing, interesting it’ll be great. I’m a light sleeper so if they have some funny nighttime habits, that could be a problem.
‘So no snorers, please. I think boredom is my biggest fear – not having enough stimulation.’
Chesney was the first housemate to step inside and he was immediately given a challenge by Big Brother.
He was tasked with introducing himself to the first four housemates as ‘The one and only Chesney Hawkes’.
Next to enter the house was JoJo Siwa and he immediately recited the catchphrase he’d been instructed to say.
He continued to do it as challenged by Big Brother as he was slowly joined by more stars including Trisha Goddard, Chris Hughes and Patsy Palmer.
