GB News temporarily stopped its regular programming for a breaking news update as the channel went live to New York, where Andy Burnham and Donald Trump held their first face-to-face meeting.

“Well, hang on a minute, Andy Burnham, the British people want to count on you at the moment,” she said.
She continued by questioning whether Burnham was in the position to reassure people overseas when, in her view, some people in Britain were still uncertain about what they could expect from him.
Turner specifically mentioned people from Uganda, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates while making her point.
She then called for Burnham to explain more clearly what he intended to do for people in Britain.
The presenter delivered her strongest criticism when she reflected on Burnham’s performance during the meeting.
“I found so much of that horribly predictable, and I was hoping for something else,” Turner said.
She also highlighted what she saw as a sharp contrast between Burnham and Trump, saying the two appeared to be “polar opposite” on everything.
The comments came as attention remained focused on Burnham’s meeting with Trump and the issues discussed during their encounter.
