Everybody who is not a fan of the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes is eating crow this week.

Those who believe the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback gets preferential treatment from NFL officials will not be happy with this next bit of information.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network got social media buzzing this week when he relayed league findings on Wednesday regarding the number of fouls quarterbacks drew per 100 hits during the 2024 season.

One look below shows you that Patrick Mahomes checked in at No. 8 at 3.53.

He is in the top ten, but he is certainly not number one, as fans have suggested over the past few years.

“Feels like this isn’t something easily quantifiable,” one fan said.

“Allen and Mahomes being top 10 and hurts being bottom 3 is interesting,” another fan added.

One person couldn’t believe Patrick Mahomes wasn’t higher, saying, “I love how they twist this. People want tackles holding and false starting called. Where’s your “got away with holding or false starting” chart?”

“We’ve investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong,” another person mocked.

One final person stated: “But but but I was told by espn that mahomes got all the calls 😭.”

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the list with 7.32 but the the league’s findings determined there was “no apparent link between QB status and treatment from Officiating.”

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his team always seem to get the best end of the stick when it comes to favorable calls.

On Wednesday, the NFL released a study that appeared to find no correlation between a quarterback’s status and the number of favorable calls he received.

Mahomes came in 8th place.

Unfortunately for him, fans are sure of what they see during games and how a huge call or non-call effectively changes the outcome of a game in that they participate in.

Patrick Mahomes’ Latest Family Drama Causes A Stir Online

While Patrick Mahomes mostly stays out of the spotlight when he’s off the field, it’s more than can be said for his family. Once Super Bowl time comes around, you can expect some drama.

Past Super Bowl periods have seen his father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., get charged with drunk driving and his brother, Jackson, face accusations of sexual harassment.

This time around, it was Mahomes Sr. who went viral again after getting into an altercation with John Rocker in the streets after Super Bowl 59. He has since admitted the whole thing was staged after police questioned him, given that he’s still on probation.

The fake confrontation was fashioned to promote a celebrity boxing match between the two men. But a new twist has emerged: The fight has been canceled.

Dave Portnoy made the announcement on ‘The Unnamed Show’ this Friday, revealing the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s wife Brittany and her agent reached out to his representatives to inform them that they would not allow the fight to happen.

“This fight’s canceled… I had nothing to do with any of this… They came to us to do this… Mahomes’ agent – football player – and Brittany from what I’m told, intervened and said ‘There’s no way this fight happens. We’re gonna cut the guy off if he does it.’ So they canceled it,” Portnoy said. “If they want to fight, let them fight. That’s what I say.”

The former MLB players agreed to fight each other in January, according to court documents shown to police to prove the altercation was staged.

Latest Twist In Patrick Mahomes Sr.’s Fight Plans Surprises No One

Fans on social media weren’t surprised as they’d already figured that Patrick would do whatever it took to prevent his father from being embarrassed or, worse, seriously hurt.

“I saw this coming the second it was announced. Pat Mahomes Jr would’ve paid double even triple the amount they offered for him not to fight,” one wrote in the comments.

“Shocking. No one expected this to fall through!” another said, sarcastically.

“let your dad throw some hands. It will give him a focus that isn’t hitting the streets impaired with alcohol,” someone else advised.

While there would have been plenty to talk about no matter which way the fight went, it’s probably best that it won’t happen as someone could have been badly injured – and by someone, we mean Mahomes Sr.

He doesn’t look to be any match for John Rocker.
