A Special Journey – Close Colleagues – Michael Strahan’s Tribute to Robin Roberts Moves Viewers to Tears!
Michael Strahan started his career as a footballer before becoming one of the first faces viewers see every morning on Good Morning America.
The dad-of-four is a popular host, but admitted that he found the career transfer **“intimidating”** and **“scary”** in the beginning.
Chatting to ET, Michael credited his HBCU education for making him adaptable: *“These are things I didn’t necessarily go to school for… I try to be the best that I can be, so I can be an example for those who are falling behind.”*
He confessed it was **“the scariest, most intimidating, hardest thing”** he’d ever done in television. But over time, Michael learned: *“It’s not my job to necessarily be the personality… Most of all I have to listen.”*
Beyond work, Michael maintains close bonds with co-stars like Robin Roberts. On International Women’s Day, he shared: *“Robin shows you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Robin is a true hero to many, including myself.”*
Earlier this year, Michael tested positive for coronavirus (**Cvd-19**) and had to isolate. Robin announced his illness on air, but fans were relieved when he fully recovered and returned to GMA.
