THE Today show has replaced Savannah Guthrie for Tuesday’s episode as she continued her absence from the morning show.

Hoda Kotb kicked off the morning show by introducing her replacement and explaining why Savannah was missing.

Savannah has been out from the morning show for more than a week now, though she’s appeared on the show on multiple occasions via pre-taped segments.

In her place, Today star Craig Melvin stepped up as Hoda’s co-host on Tuesday.

The two sat at the anchor desk at the start of the Today broadcast and welcomed viewers to another broadcast of the daily show.

Hoda said: “Good morning, good to see you.

“Welcome to Today. It’s a Tuesday morning, the first Tuesday in 2024.”

Craig joked to his co-star: “Haven’t seen you since last year.”

“It’s nice to see you,” she replied, before revealing about her absent co-host: “Savannah’s enjoying an extra day off.”

Savannah has been off celebrating a few different holidays over the last week and a half.

Aside from Christmas and New Year’s, she also turned another year older.

The Today host turned 52 on December 27, and fans were shocked by her age after she shared a birthday selfie on Instagram.

One follower told the host: “Happy Birthday! 52 looks good on you.”

A second said: “Happy birthday gorgeous. Be blessed”

A third fan commented: “Looking good! The most genuine smile, happy birthday!”

Others took the opportunity to wish Savannah a nice day and share what she means to them.

“Happy Birthday, Savannah! I hope all the positive vibes you put out there come back to you tenfold,” one follower wrote.

For Christmas a couple of days earlier, she shared sweet photos of her and her family enjoying Christmas together in matching pajamas.

“So very merry and nearly impossible to capture,” she captioned the post.
