Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been told to take a back seat in future projects after the launch of their latest venture. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently released their documentary Cookie Queens, which follows four Girl Scouts competing to become top cookie sellers.

The film, which was produced through the couple’s production company Archewell Productions, enjoyed limited success after opening across 446 cinemas, taking just $327,797 in its first weekend, an average of roughly $735 per screen. The flop has led to one royal commentator claiming that the pair should “disappear professionally” and stop relying on their celebrity brand to carry projects through. Kinsey Schofield told Page Six: “I would tell them to disappear professionally for a little while, dramatically reduce the number of announcements, and identify one genuinely compelling project with experienced people around them who know how to execute it.”

During his visit to the UK in July, Harry made an appearance on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast – with the 36-year-old making his stance known on the ongoing royal feud.

In his 2023 memoir Spare, The Duke of Sussex painted his father in not the most complimentary way, suggesting he could be cold and distant.

Prince William is likely to still want “nothing to do” with Prince Harry even if the duke releases a public apology, a royal insider has said.

Over the last week, rumours have been swirling that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could issue a public statement apologising to the Royal Family for the tensions that have existed since they quit royal life.

The couple, who tied the knot in Windsor in 2018, have since welcomed seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet.

It has been suggested that data means Meghan Markle has a “trump card” over the King.

This is because the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand As Ever had more online visitors to its website than that the webpage for King Charles’s Highgrove shop last month.
