Jenna Bush Hager Sh0ws 0ff Birthmark on ‘Today’ After Revealing Ex-Boyfriend Broke Up With Her Over It

Jenna Bush Hager shared a deeply personal story about her birthmark and decided it was time to reclaim the beauty of the unique feature.

This week, Jenna, 43, is cohosting Today With Jenna & Friends with Savannah Guthrie. The Tuesday, May 20, fashion segment started 0ff with Jenna and Savannah, 53, talking about a new trend that is dividing the internet — diaper shorts.

Jenna mentioned how celebrities like Sydney Sweeney and Addison Rae have worn the micro shorts to public events. The former first daughter asked Savannah if she would wear diaper shorts.

“I would not,” Savannah said. “I mean, first of all, I don’t think there was ever a time where I could wear those, but certainly this is not that time anymore. There’s like a point where gravity takes hold of your legs and everything, and it’s just all headed in one direction.”

Then, Jenna decided to open up about a past experience she had with an ex-boyfriend who criticized a beauty mark she has on her leg.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever told you this, but I had a boyfriend in the seventh grade who broke up with me,” Jenna shared with Savannah. “I have a birthmark, which you’ve seen because you’ve seen me in all sorts of areas. I had a boyfriend who broke up with me in the seventh grade when he saw me in a bathing suit because he saw my birthmark.”

“That is outrageous,” Savannah said, to which Jenna replied, “I know, it gave me a lot of” PTSD.

Jenna said that after that experience, she had a “rule” where her shorts had to then “basically cover the birthmark.” Savannah said that “is awful” that she had to experience that.

“Long story short, I couldn’t wear the diaper shorts,” the Sisters First author said.

“Have you ever talked about your birthmark before on the air?” Savannah asked Jenna.

“I’m not sure if anybody’s ever seen it,” Jenna said.

Savannah then asked her if she wanted to show everyone the birthmark on camera but said that Jenna, who is married to Henry Hager, didn’t have to if she didn’t want to. Jenna decided that she wanted to sh0w it 0ff after all.

“This is actually me reclaiming that time,” Jenna said as she stood up from her chair and pulled up her shorts to reveal the birthmark on her upper thigh. Everyone in the studio clapped as she embraced the feature.

“Never thought I’d do that but here we go,” she confessed when she sat back down.

“By the way, can I say something? Your legs look awesome,” Savannah said. “So gravity has not come for you.”

Viewers of the show appreciated Jenna’s honesty, sharing praise for the TV host online.
