Angel Reese becomes second-youngest WNBA player to record triple-double | WNBA | The Guardian

Angel Reese grabbed headlines on Sunday after turning in one of the best all-around performances of her career. This came in the form of her first-ever triple-double, as the Chicago Sky star dropped 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, to go along with three steals and two blocks.

More importantly, Reese was able to help lead Chicago to a crucial 78-66 victory over the Connecticut Sun to mark just their third win of the season.

The Sky had lost three straight games entering Sunday’s clash and were in dire need of a win. Reese got the memo, and she delivered in a major way.

So much so that even the NBA had to react to Reese’s heroic performance.

“FIRST CAREER TRIPLE-DOUBLE FOR @Reese10Angel 🔥🔥🔥” the league posted on X.

The NBA just had to shout out Reese after the 23-year-old hit an incredible career milestone on Sunday.

This was exactly what the Sky needed amid their recent slump. Not only is this their first win in four games, but it also gives Chicago some momentum heading into their next game.

Next up for them is a home matchup against the Washington Mystics on Tuesday as the Sky looks to improve on their 3-7 record.

Chicago will need for Reese to keep her foot on the gas in that one if they want to make it back-to-back wins. On the season, the former LSU star has put up averages of 10.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 29.7 minutes per contest.
