Eurovision star fuels Strictly Come Dancing rumours with three-word message

Delta Goodrem has hinted at a potential appearance on Strictly Come Dancing after being pressed on the matter.
The Eurovision star finished fourth in the 2026 Song Contest, which saw Bulgaria’s Dara claim victory.
She’s currently gearing up for a new album and tour, but has revealed “I’m always open” to joining Strictly.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, Delta faced questions from presenters Ed Balls, Susanna Reid and Richard Arnold.
Following a backstage clip showing Delta dancing at an afterparty, former Strictly contestant Ed praised her “good frame”, reports the Mirror.

“What are you suggesting Ed?” responded Susanna, who has also taken part in Strictly, while Richard joked: “You knew we were going to go here!”
Fuelling the speculation, Delta remarked: “Every time I’ve been in the UK and I can immerse into [Strictly], I love music with all my heart.
“As I said last year before Eurovision, I’m always open. I love the variety of the arts… I’m always open!”
She continued: “I’d have to work really hard because I’m a piano girl at the end of the day.”

“I’ve not confirmed,” she added, joking that she would seek guidance from the Good Morning Britain presenters before taking to the ballroom floor.
Earlier reports had suggested that Delta was the first celebrity confirmed for Strictly this year.
The beloved BBC programme is undergoing a major shake-up, with Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe confirmed to have replaced Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
Meanwhile, several new professional dancers are expected to join, after the likes of Karen Hauer, Michelle Tsiakkas and Gorka Marquez left the line-up.
Delta was named as the first rumoured contestant joining Strictly earlier this year, when GMB entertainment correspondent Rishi Davda told hosts Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh: “Another day, and another day in the frame for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

“Former Neighbours star and pop sensation Delta Goodrem is reportedly set to drop her mic and step onto the dancefloor, proving that she’s got more than one string to her bow.
“Sources say it’s basically a done deal, they’ve been trying to get her for years. Obviously, it’s a great name for the show.”
Natalie Imbruglia and Josie Gibson are also said to be in the mix, with This Morning star Josie quizzed on James Martin’s Saturday Morning.
Host James began: “I’ve heard a little rumour that you might be doing something that I used to do 21 years ago, you can’t announce it yet.”
“No,” Josie quickly replied, as James went on: “Tell me about this other show you’re doing, the other bit we can’t say anything about.”
Josie quipped back: “I think I’ve been April Fools’d here! I’ve had nobody contact me! I think the press April Fools’d me!”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
