UNACCEPTABLE: Meghan Markle gets huge update on Princess Kate meeting
Meghan Markle gets major update on potential Princess Kate reunion as royal expert reveals ‘one condition’
Meghan Markle could still have a future face-to-face meeting with Princess Catherine, but a royal expert has suggested that any reconciliation may depend on what is best for the monarchy.
The prospect of a reunion between the Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales has once again come under the spotlight following Prince Harry and Meghan’s reported meeting with King Charles at Highgrove.
The last time Meghan and Catherine were publicly seen together was in 2022, when members of the Royal Family gathered following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Since then, relations between the Sussexes and the Waleses have remained deeply strained.
Meghan and Kate reunion could still happen
In July 2026, King Charles reportedly welcomed Harry, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to Highgrove.
The meeting was viewed by some as an important step towards repairing the fractured relationship between Harry and his father.
However, reports have suggested that Prince William was not enthusiastic about the development, particularly given the history of public criticism directed towards the Royal Family.
That has raised questions about whether Catherine could eventually sit down privately with Meghan.
According to royal expert Daisy McAndrew, such a meeting cannot be completely ruled out.
But she suggested that it could happen for reasons beyond simply repairing a personal relationship.

‘For the good of the Firm’
During an episode of Daily Expresso, host JJ Anisiobi questioned whether Catherine could ever trust Meghan again.
The discussion centred on the damage caused by years of tension between the two couples.
The host said: “Catherine doesn’t trust Meghan Markle for good reason. Meghan Markle slated the royal family.”
He then asked whether there could ever come a point when Catherine would be able to trust the Duchess again.
Daisy offered a cautious response, stressing that trust is deeply personal.
“I mean, trust is something so personal, isn’t it?” she said.

However, she suggested that there could eventually be a situation in which the two women reach an understanding.
“I can see a point where they come to some sort of arrangement for the good of the group, for the good of the Firm,” the royal expert explained.
Her comments suggest that a future meeting would not necessarily mean that every disagreement between Meghan and Catherine had disappeared.
Instead, it could represent a pragmatic attempt to put family tensions aside when royal responsibilities require it.
William remains a major obstacle
Any potential reconciliation would also have to take Prince William’s position into account.
The Prince of Wales has maintained a notably distant relationship with Harry since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from royal duties and moved to the United States.
Harry’s subsequent interviews, Netflix documentary and memoir Spare revealed deeply personal details about his relationship with William and other members of the Royal Family.
Those revelations have made a return to the close relationship the brothers once shared extremely difficult.
For Catherine, therefore, meeting Meghan could carry enormous emotional and practical implications.
Could Kate make the first move?
The idea of Catherine making a personal sacrifice to help restore harmony within the Royal Family is likely to generate strong reactions.
The Princess has traditionally maintained a diplomatic public approach, rarely responding directly to controversy surrounding her family.
A private meeting with Meghan could therefore be seen as an attempt to draw a line under years of tension.
But it would not necessarily mean the two women suddenly become close.
For now, there is no confirmed date for such a reunion, and neither Kensington Palace nor the Sussexes have announced plans for a meeting.
Still, following Charles’ reported efforts to reconnect with Harry, the possibility of Meghan and Catherine eventually sitting down together has once again become a subject of intense royal speculation.
Whether that meeting would finally heal the divide — or simply create another carefully managed royal encounter — remains one of the biggest unanswered questions surrounding the Sussexes and the Royal Family.
